Better Days

I decided to attend my first ASKAL Art Discussion. Work was called off because of the storm Igme. I had an entire day to myself and so i went to Tambayang Makiling instead. Ikoy facilitated the discussion, attended by 12 or more artists-members. I enjoyed the discussion simply because i have so much questions to ask these pool of talented young artists. The topic was about "meaning and interpretation" of artworks. I think it's a very interesting yet controversial topic. Opinion and ideas flowed while some carefully digested the array of things that seem like beautiful music coming from an orchestra. i realized how much i love art. how i feel awfully comfortable talking about it, discovering things pertaining to it. i think something in me awakened that night, never to slumber again...i went home feeling weird but happy. My energy level was at its peak! i was tired but it felt good. real good. Thanks to my good friend, my favorite painter, leslie, who kept on inviting us to come and visit TM, to carlo, for the funny remarks yet inspiring views, to iggy, thank you for that input on elite and the masses, to mideo, im now inspired to read more art books and learn more about performance art, to don, for being the cute yet sensible artist that he is (or should i say "pa-cute" :) ), for all the young, vibrant artists who really made my night, i wish you more and more creativity!
